I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Mine was amazing here in Canada. The only thing I missed was my brother and parents, but on Christmas Eve I did a videochat with them and on New Year I also did a videochat with them, and with my grandparents when it was 6pm here and midnight there. So we could count down to the New Year together.

During the holidays we also watched every Harry Potter movie. It was great to see them again. I also worked for school a bit during the week, because Wednesday it's back to school. And we have a lot to do. But I also really enjoyed my week off. I haven't gone outside a lot the last week, because it's very cold outside. I've been working on my lists of the best music of 2017 which you can see on my American Music News website.

On New Year's Eve I watched New Year's Rockin Eve live from New York. It has been a few years now that I watch this on New Year's Eve, but this time I didn't had to stay up the whole night to see it. For the countdown I went to Victoria Park where there was live music and firework. Here below are two videos of the night. Now I'm going to enjoy the first days of 2018 in Canada!

This week was the last week that I had class before the holidays. Normally this week was also the week that I was going back to Belgium, but I'm still in London and I'm very happy about that. I wouldn't be ready to go home this week. This week was the finals of The Voice. It was an amazing final with great performances. Miley even performed Wrecking Ball again with her artist Brooke. It was so good! Unfortunately Brooke didn't win, but Chloe from Team Blake did and she deserved it. She is really good. And she was in team Miley first, so technically Miley also won for a part.

Wednesday I had class and then went home. On Thursday I had my last two classes of this year. After class we had a little party with everyone from the radio program. We got free pizza and drinks. And a lot of fun. Now we are getting ready for the holidays. Friday I didn't had class and used my time to go to the mall and get some more Christmas presents. In the evening I went to the movies to watch the new Pitch Perfect movie. I'm a big fan of those movies and couldn't wait to see Pitch Perfect 3. And it was amazing! I just love those actresses, especially Anna Kendrick. Today is a lazy Saturday. I watched some YouTube and movies, and we ate pizza. I can't wait for tomorrow and the rest of the week. I love Christmas and New Year, and this year it will be extra special because I'm celebrating without my family, but I'm celebrating it in Canada with my Canadian family.

Last week was a great week. And I ended the week with a great party on Sunday night. On Monday I had two practical tests and I passed both. On Tuesday I had class until noon and then there was Little Ray's reptiles at school. They brought some reptiles at school to show us. We could also touch the animals. There was snakes, lizards, and even a tarantula. Here below are some pictures.

In the evening there was a farewell party for all the exchange students from Fanshawe. The party was at Palasad, one of the bowling places here in London. We played some bowling, had dinner together and gave presents to each other. I had a great time.

On Wednesday and Thursday I had classes and worked for school, because we have a lot of work for the moment. On Friday I had a test and then I worked for school. In the evening, I went to the Knights game. They played well, but Sarnia was better, so they lost. On Saturday I went Christmas shopping with Aurimar. On Sunday I went to the Lightning game. They started bad and were losing by 15 points, but then they came back in the game and won.

I ended my week with a great party with my radio family. We had a Christmas party together, with almost everyone from the radio program. We had a great time. Today I only had to be at school at 2pm, which was good because I was back home late that night. I only had to be in that class for one hour which was good. This evening I will chill and watch the finals of The Voice.

Last week it has been snowing a lot. When I was walking back home from the Knights game on Friday I made some pictures at Victoria Park. It was very beautiful with the snow and all the Christmas lights. You an see the pictures here below.

I can't believe it! It has already been 100 days that I'm in Canada! And this week I had great news: I can stay one month longer than planned. Normally the semester should have been finished in two weeks and I would have to go back home on December 19. But because of the strike the semester goes on until January 18. My flight was already booked for December 19 and we couldn't change it, or we would lose the money. Luckily, I could get a refund which is enough money to cancel my flight and rebook it. This means I can stay one month longer in Canada, and it also means I will celebrate the holidays here with my Canadian family.

This week there was a chill lounge at school for two days. There was a petting zoo, you could get free massages, you could play video games, you could pet some dogs. It was very cool. Here below are some pictures of the petting zoo. There was even a pony!

Yesterday, on Saturday, I went to the mall because I needed new sneakers. My other sneakers I took with me from Belgium are broken, so I needed new ones. I also bought new pants, a shirt and two hats. Especially the hats were a good deal. It was 1+1 free. And I need hats with the weather right now. It has been snowing for the whole weekend. And it is also very cold outside, so I need warm hats to wear. I saw that in Belgium it also snowed, even at my Hometown Ostend! The snow didn't stay for long though. Here the snow is still on the ground. Later today, on Sunday, I will go to school to practice for my practical test I have tomorrow. Then I will chill and maybe watch a movie.

This week I also had two radio shows. One on CFRL and one on The Falcon. These were my last shows of this year. I will be on air again next year, so if you haven't listen yet, you still can. I had a great week. Last Sunday I went to the first home game of the London Lightning, the professional basketball team of London. They won their first game of the season. It was fun to go to a basketball game again. I also went to their next game on Thursday night. It was a special game in favor of Women Abuse Awareness month. So they played in purple instead of yellow. During this game I caught a shirt and little basketball, like you can see on the picture here below. I also took some pictures of the game which you can see here below. They lost the game on Thursday. It was very tight, but at the end the Lightning made a mistake and lost the game.

During the day I was at school, now that the strike is over, but I'm happy about that. The only thing I didn't missed is the early mornings. They organize a lot of stuff at school right now. This week they organized a Winter Fair where you could get free hot chocolate, make a Christmas wish and make pictures. Here below is the picture of me and my friends during the Winter Fair.

I also had two radio shows this week, on Tuesday and on Saturday. Both shows went very well. I really love to go on air. My next show is Wednesday evening at 8pm on CFRL. On Friday night I went to the Victoria Park and met my friend Rachel there to see the Christmas lights in the park. That night the lighted up all the lights on the trees. It is very beautiful and magical.

This weekend I did my radio show and worked for school. We have a lot to do now for school, a lot of assignments and tests. But I can still handle it, so it will all be alright. This Monday I only had to be at school for a practical test. The test went will, I passed. For the rest of the day I worked for school and read for a bit.

4 December

It has been a while that I didn't write here, but that is for a reason. I was very busy last week and also this week because I was on trips the whole time and school started again. The weekend of November 11 and 12 I didn't do much. I only had a show on CFRL on Sunday from 8 to 9pm. This was my last show during the strike. My next show was yesterday. I had shows last week, but I couldn't go because I wasn't in London. Last week I was gone from Tuesday till Sunday. From Tuesday till Thursday I was in Montreal. School organized a trip to Quebec again just like they did for Ottawa. I had to go because everyone says that Montreal is a very beautiful city and I wanted to see if it's true. And it is. Montreal, and Quebec City, are amazing cities. It is very beautiful there, and it looks a lot like Paris and other cities in Europe. I had a great time there. I was not home for long then, because the morning after I went to Toronto, traveling alone for the first time. I stayed there until Sunday. I had an amazing time in Toronto. It has been a while that I wanted to go there and now I was there. I saw the CN Tower, the Roger Centre, the Air Canada Centre, I went to the Toronto Islands. I even went to a Toronto Raptors game. As a big basketball fan, this is a big deal. I have been playing the NBA video game for years, and to see the players in real life now was just the best. I took a lot of pictures during my two trips. When I saw the amount of pictures I took in Toronto I was shocked: more than 1000 pictures! I reduced it to a bit more than 500 pictures. You can see all the pictures on my Facebook. This is one of the reasons I haven't posted here for a while. I was on the trips and then I had to work on the pictures. It took me a whole week for the pictures of Toronto. But it is also because school resumed! The strike is over which means that we have classes again! I'm happy that the strike is over. I was happy to see my classmates and professors again. I really missed them. I also missed going on air,  it has been more than a week because I was always gone last week. I had my first show after the strike on Wednesday night. It went very well.

On Thursday night I went to the women's and men's basketball games of the Fanshawe Falcons. Both teams won. I had a great time. It has been a while ago that I saw a basketball game, so I was happy to be there. On Friday night I went to a London Knights game. I really became a hockey game. I love to go to those hockey game. The Knights played against Owen Sound Attack. They won 5-3 but they didn't had it so easy like the other time I went. There was a moment it was 4-1, but then Owen Sound scored two times and it became 4-3 for a long time. Then the Knights could score one more time and won. Today, Saturday, I am working for school and for my radio show I have tomorrow morning. So tune in! I will be on air tomorrow morning from 10 to 11am (4 to 5pm Belgian time). After my show, I'm going to the first home game of the London Lightning, the professional basketball team of London. I only have a bit more then three weeks here and I want to make them worth it. So, I will do as much as possible.

25 November

I had a great week. It started slowly, but ended amazing. On Monday I haven't done a lot. I just went to school to get my ticket for the movies and the hockey game. On Tuesday I went to Budweiser Gardens to get tickets for two London Lightning games. I really love basketball, so I want to see the professional basketball team of London play. I have a great seat for both games. I'm excited to go. Then I went to the White Oaks mall to get some stuff and I also went to Chipotle to eat some tacos. I really Chipotle. Their food is really good. I will definitely go back.

On Wednesday I went to Urban Outfitters to get the cassette version of the season 1 soundtrack of Stranger Things. I'm a big fan of the show (I watched season 2 in one night) and wanted that cassette, so I got it. Then I went to eat a sandwich at Fresno's Italian Table. I wanted to go there from the first day I was here and now I had time to go. It was really good and delicious. I really recommend it. I also had my radio show on CFRL this Wednesday. I did a two-hour show from 6 till 8pm. Then I went home to eat something fast, because I had to go to the movies. I went to the new Thor movie. I wanted to see it, and with school I could go for 4 dollars, so I went. It was a great movie. I really loved it.

On Thursday I went for a walk in the early afternoon, but not a long walk because it was really cold. In the evening we even had our first snow of this winter. This is my first snow in years. It has been years that it snowed in Ostend, so I has been a while that I saw snow. Me and Aurimar went out to eat something and had a good time, even if it was cold and snowing. But I don't really care about the snow because I love snow. I just don't like to be cold, but if you want snow, it has to be cold.

Today, on Friday, it was even colder outside. It was freezing, but I went outside to take pictures of the beautiful landscapes and the snow. It was really cold, but I had a fun time taking pictures. I ended my week with my very first ice hockey game. I went to the London Knights game today in which they played against Flint. They won 9 to 0 and played very well. I really loved the game and had a great time. This is my first hockey game, but not my last. I will go to more hockey games, because I really love it. Like I wrote on my previous post, my week ended with a radio show on The Falcon on Friday night. On the picture here above is the studio at The Falcon. I had a great time again, like I always do when I am on-air. My next show is Wednesday on CFRL. That night there was a full moon and it was really beautiful to see. I tried to take a picture of it, but it didn't end well, so no picture of the full moon.

On Saturday I worked a bit first and then I went for a walk. I went to the Ivey Park again, because I love the view there. It is very beautiful there like you can see on the pictures here below. There was also a lot of birds flying around in the sky which made it even more beautiful.

When I was back from my walk, I watched the NRJ Music Awards. They showed the whole show live on their website, so I could see it. It was amazing with performances by French artists, but also international artists like Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd. Ed Sheeran won big that night. On Sunday I wanted to go for a walk again, but the weather was very bad, so I didn't go outside. I worked for school and chilled. The strike will still go on, because we hadn't got any mail yet. I hope teh strike is almost over, because I don't want to lose my semester and I want to go back to my classes. We will see what happens.

I had an amazing week that all started in Ottawa and ended in the radio studio. On Monday and Tuesday I went to the capital of Canada Ottawa. I went with my roommate Aurimar and we had a great time. I also met her friends who also came. There are amazing. I love them! The trip itself was unforgettable. On Monday we went to the History museum and saw some beautiful things. Then we went to the Parliament Hill where Justin Trudeau was meeting the president of Colombia. We couldn't go inside which was sas, but we saw the building from the outside and it was great. In the evening and night we were free, so me, Aurimar and her three friends (who are also my friends now) went for dinner and then stayed together for a while. We had a lot of fun.

On Tuesday we went to the house where Justin Trudeau lives and also a beautiful park. For lunch we were free in downtown Ottawa and went to the mall. The best thing of the trip is the following: we went on a boat trip at the thousand islands. It was just so beautiful, I couldn't believe my eyes. The view was amazing and unbelievable. I will never forget this trip.

When we were downtown there was also a little shop where you could buy maple syrup, the real one. So I bought a little bottle in the shape of a maple leaf. On the way back home we stopped at the big apple, a place on the highway where there is a big apple and a shop that sells a lot of things with apples. One of those things is apple cider made in Canada, so I had to buy one.

Wednesday was the day after Ottawa which means that I had to work on all the pictures I made during the two days. I made a lot of pictures and videos. You can see some of the pictures here below. On Wednesday I not only worked on the picture, but I also went outside to the Victoria Park, because something was happening there. On the radio they were talking about Women Awareness Month and that they would light up a tree at the park to celebrate that. I wanted to see that, so I went. There was not a lot of people, but it was interesting. There is a monument there of all red women that will stay there the whole month. They also put purple lights on the tree which is very beautiful, especially in the dark. The players and staff of the London Lighting, the official basketball team of London, also were there to show their support. Here below are some pictures of the evening.

On Thursday I slept in, because it was late the night before. I worked on the Ottawa pictures for a long time that night. I worked on the Ottawa video and then I went to school for my studio time. After my studio time I chilled with my friend Rachel who had her radio show on CFRL. At 7pm I was supposed to get free spaghetti at the Outback Shack, but there was none left, so no free spaghetti for me. I went home then and chilled for the rest of the night.

Today is already Friday again. Today I have a radio show on The Falcon, so I'm preparing that and I'm also updating my American music news website because it's New Music Friday. This means that every Friday there is a lot of new music coming out. The Friday is the day that most artists release new music and that means that the Friday is the day that I have the most work for my website. Tonight I will be on air on The Falcon for the second from 8 to 9pm. So tune in!

I have had a great week in London. There is still a strike, so I still don't have class. I went for a walk almost every day. Now the fall officially started here, because it's cold outside and the leaves on the trees are changing colour and fall down. It looks very pretty. Monday was the day after my birthday. I haven't done much that day because I wanted to chill. Tuesday I had my first show on The Falcon. I went to school early to prepare my show. My friend Rachel was also at school because she had a show after me, so we hang out together. We ate something and then I did my show. I stayed during Rachel's show and on-air a few times during her show. We had a great time.

Wednesday was a chilling day again. Thursday I went to school for my studio time and show on CFRL. I had a great time again. I love to be on the radio. Friday I worked on my website, american music news. There was a lot of new music, so I had a lot to do. This weekend I went for a walk and also to the mall. I had a good time and a great week, but Tomorrow (Monday), and Tuesday will be even better. I'm going to Ottawa, the capital of Canada, for two days. The international center of Fanshawe organized this trip and it looked very interesting to do. Ottawa looks like a very beautiful city. I can't wait to go. I will take a lot of pictures and will have to the time of my life.

Yesterday I had another radio show on CFRL. I had a shift from 8 to 9pm, but stayed longer because the person who was supposed to come after me didn't show up, so I did a two hour show again. It was really fun to be there. In Canada it wasn't my birthday yet, but in Belgium it was, so technically I celebrated my birthday on the radio. After my show I went home and watched the movie "Rough Night" with four of my favourite actresses: Kate McKinnon, Scarlett Johansson, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz.

Today was my birthday and I had a great birthday! I woke up with a surprise. I did a videochat with my parents and they surprised me by calling my grandparents, so they could wish me a happy birthday themselves. It was a great way to wake up with. My day couldn't start better! I finally finished the book I was reading, I went for a walk and saw some cute squirrels. While sitting at the park with the squirrels around me, I got a great tattoo idea. I really want to get a tattoo while I'm here, so I'm thinking about what I would get.

For my birthday Aurimar gave me a great gift: a beanie and a key ring with Canada on it. I'm really happy with it! Vertha and Rachel also got me a gift when they were home. They got me reading socks and Maple Fudge. They also got me cake and it was delicious! I ended my day with helping Rachel with her homework and then I watched another movie. The strike continues, so this week I will also don't have school, but I will make the best of my week. I still have my radio shows and I have time to explore more of London and Canada.

There is a strike. This means that I don't have class for now. I don't know how long the strike will be, but I hope not too long. It has been a week now that I'm home because of the strike. The strike is a bad thing, but also a good thing. Now I have time to do some things I want to do. I still go to my radio shows, which is really fun to do. Wednesday I had my show from 5 to 6pm, but I did a two hour show because the person after me didn't show up, so I took her shift and did radio from 5 to 7pm. It was really great to do radio. I love it! Tonight I'm on again from 8 to 9pm. I will talk about birthdays because tomorrow is my birthday. I will celebrate my 20th birthday. And that in Canada!

Yesterday I went for a walk and saw some beautiful things. It was late in the afternoon that I went for my walk, so I saw the sun going down. I also saw a lot of ducks. Here below are some pictures and videos. Today it is also good outside, so I will go for a walk again after writing this. Tomorrow I will celebrate my birthday. Then I will see if the strike goes on next week. If it does, I will enjoy my week and do some fun things.

I did it! My first on-air show on CFRL went great! I loved to be there in the studio. It was a one hour show what looks like a lot, but the hour past by so fast. I can't wait for my next show which will be on Wednesday from 5 till 6pm on CFRL. Don't forget to tune in. I still don't know if there will be a strike tomorrow, so I still don't know if I have to go to school tomorrow or not. We will see what happened. If there is a strike, I will not have class, but I will still go to my on-air shows. So tune in Wednesday from 5 till 6pm (11pm till midnight Belgian time) on CFRL!

I had a great week this week. Last weekend was a long weekend because the Monday was Thanksgiving. I celebrated my first one and it was great. We ate great food and then we watched a movie together. The Sunday we watched the original IT movie, but this movie is so long that we watched the end of it Monday evening. Then we watched another horror movie, the Bye Bye Man. I'm not a big fan of horror movie and this movie hadn't helped to make me a fan. IT was more of a comedy film and The Bye Bye Man was also not so scary. I saw other movies that are scarier and that are not even a horror movie.

Tuesday was a normal school day until I got at the sub. It was MentalHealthDay and to celebrate that there was a petting zoo at school with alpaca's, goats, sheeps, a chicken, rabbits, etc. I have pet same of the animals before going back to class. If I haven't had class anymore I would have stayed there the whole day, but I had to go to class. Here below are pictures from the animals.

Wednesday was a normal school day and Thursday I had a test, just like Friday. After the test I grabbed some food at school and stayed a bit with some friends. Then I went home to work a bit. This Saturday is a casual Saturday with a lot of work. I have some assignments to do and tomorrow on Sunday I have my first live on-air show. Tune in tomorrow, Sunday October 15, from noon till 1 pm on CFRL! I am very excited but also a bit nervous, but it will all be ok. It will be fun.

I still don't know if I will have class Monday or not because there is a possibility that there will be a strike. We will see what happens.

I had a great week. I was so busy that I didn't have the time to update you here on dreamelyne, but now it is weekend and I have time. Tuesday I didn't really do something, except that I had a surprise quiz at school. I also studied because I had two tests on Wednesday. They went well, I passed both. Thursday I also had a test, but it was an openbook test, so it was easy. I also had studio time on Thursday, so I made a bit of radio. On Friday I had a surprise quiz again, but this one was easy. I also went to the hairdresser after class to shave the back and the sides because it was becoming long. The whole week I also watched the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon because it was Mileyweek. Miley was on the show every day and she killed it, every day. They have to do this more.

Now it is a long weekend because Monday is Thanksgiving. Today I studied a bit for a test I have next week. Then we went to the movies. We watched Blade Runner 2049. It was a great movie with good actors and amazing music. Now I want to see the first Blade Runner movie to see what happened. The cinema here is great. I will definitely go watch a movie again at the cinema.

Today it has been exactly one month that I'm here in Canada. And what a month it was. I already had a great time here. I made some good friends I will never forget, I learned new things and definitely don't want to go back to Belgium. I had a good weekend. It was a bit colder this weekend, but it was still ok. Saturday a friend of Rachel came over, so we had pizza and cake. I also worked for school during the weekend because I have a lot of tests coming up. Sunday was a bit a lazy day, but I still went for a little walk. I also watched the Amber Rose slut walk online via livestream. In the evening I watched a movie. It was a good one.

My Monday was a short and good Monday. I could sleep in because I only had to go to school in the afternoon for my second practical test. It went well, I passed. Back home, I worked for school and watched TV. I also had a moment I couldn't do anything, because the cat was on my lap. But I didn't really care about that. I love when the cat is on my lap sleeping. Tomorrow will also be a short day, because I just have two classes. I will probably go for a walk then, because it's good outside again. Today it was hot again and tomorrow I think it will be the same.

It is album release day! I was very happy and excited today because of Miley. She made me very happy last night by going live. It was a great way to end the day. I had just one class today, like every Friday, so it was a short school day. I went home and then went to the mall to get Miley's album. I'm so happy I have it. I will play it on repeat the whole weekend. I will have a great weekend!

Wednesday and Thursday were normal school days. I didn't really did a lot. Wednesday I worked for school and chilled a bit on my laptop. I started watching a new series, titled "Top Of The Lake" with Elisabeth Moss, the star of "The Handmaid's Tail". Thursday was a longer day because I have a break of 4 hours and I stayed at school till 6 pm because I have studio time from 5 till 6. I practiced for my other practical test of Monday. It will go well. I drink a booster juice during my break and that for the first time. It was really good. Tomorrow it's Friday and then Miley's new album releases. I can't wait to buy it.

After writing what is here above, Miley went live on Instagram for the very first time. She did a live listening party and it was great. She sang every song from her new album and also some older songs. Something that every Smiler had asked for years happened. She sang The Climb! It's been six years that she has sung this song. I was very happy and also emotional because it this. I loved it. She can do more of these live streams.

Today I had class like usual, but I also had my first practical test. I had to do a sweep between to songs, this means that I had to mix the two songs and talk in between. It went very well, I passed. I felt confident and good and that helped to do it well. After my test I went home to work a bit for school. I also have something to celebrate today because it's the birthday of Lilly Singh aka Superwoman. She is one of my most favourite YouTube stars in the world, and she is Canadian. Tonight I also watched The Voice and the streamy awards where they celebrate the stars online. Lilly Singh won one, for first person. I'm so proud of her. Village People ended the show which was great. They sang their biggest hits with at the end the one everyone knows and dances to, YMCA.

I have a great time here that I even forget to post here, but I'm back after a great and chill weekend. Friday I had school and then I went to White Oaks to get some stuff. I went to Best Buy because I needed some things for school. I also saw there was a Chipotle there, so I went there to eat. And it was delicious.

Saturday was a bit a lazy day, but for a reason. I watched the iHeartradio music festival on a livestream. They were live from Las Vegas. During the day there was the daytime village with performances by artists like Julia Michaels, Khalid, Noah Cyrus, French Montana, Halsey and Migos. It was great, but the big show still needed to come. It was amazing. Kesha opened the show and did it wonderful. Other artists who performed were Naill Horan, Bebe Rexha with Louis Tomlinson, Big Sean, Lorde, Miley Cyrus and DJ Khaled. DJ Khaled ended the show and that with a bang. He also had some friends with him like French Montana, Chance The Rapper, Travis Scott and Demi Lovato.

Sunday I went to school because I took some studio time. I practiced for my practical test which is tomorrow, on September 26. I went well and the test will go well. I already made radio in Ghent, so I know how it works. The board is very similar to the one I used to use. I also did a little walk after that. It is very hot here for the moment, so I try to be outside and enjoy the weather as much as possible before it will be gone.

Monday was a very short school day. Because it is practical test time, I don't have to be at every class. For my second practical test I didn't had to be there today, so I only had an one-hour class. Then I worked a bit for school and after that I went for a walk. I was outside for two and a half hour and the heat. It was a good and long walk, I was dead at the end, but it was fun. I saw beautiful nature and enjoyed the sun. I was broken at the end because of the heat. It was something like 35°C outside, but it felt like 40. It was very hot and I walked for two hours. I was sweating everywhere, so I took a wonderful shower when I was back home. Here below are some pictures I made during my walk. Then I enjoyed my evening by watching the premiere of The Voice USA, with Miley as coach again, and then I watched the new series Alias Grace which is based on a book by Margaret Atwood who also brought us the amazing story of The Handmaid's Tale.

I was so busy and loving it here that I almost forgot this blog, but I didn't. Tuesday and Wednesday I haven't really done something. I had school for most of the day. Wednesday I tried poutine for the first time and I loved it. It is really good. Thursday I had only three hours of class and then I went bowling with my friends Rachel and Destiny. We played two games. I lost the first one and for the second one it was a tie with Rachel, so I haven't really lost that one. I had a drink and ate a delicious pizza.

At school there was also something fun. Our marketing teacher talked about a vending machine of Coca-Cola. If you gave it a hug, you got a free coke. So my whole went there after class to hug the machine and get a free coke. I haven't done it because I don't drink coke, but it was fun to see the others do it. Today was a special day because it was the birthday of Rachel. I didn't see her until I came back from school, but we had a great afternoon and evening. I had my 4 hour break, but I enjoyed it. I ate at one of the restaurants at school with my friends Rachel and Destiny. It was delicious and very cheap. For the meal I took with a big glass of water I paid 10 Canadian dollars. I will definitely go back there for lunch. Then I went to Walmart to get some stuff I needed and for a gift for Rachel. I got her a beautiful birthday card and some money, so she can buy whatever she wants. We ate dinner together and then it was time for the birthday cake. It was a cookie and cream ice cream cake and it was delicious.

I've had a great weekend. It was great weather here, even a bit too hot, so it couldn't be better. Saturday I went to the mall, the Masonville mall, which is one of the biggest malls here in London. This mall is gigantic, I couldn't believe my eyes. They have a lot of great stores here that sell things I really like. For example Lids which is a store that only sells hats and snapbacks. I've never seen so much snapbacks in one place in my life. There is also the stores Bluenotes and Forever21 where they sell a lot of clothes I like. I bought a snapback that says We The North, from the Toronto Raptors, the NBA basketball team of Toronto. I also bought some shirts, one of them of Canada. My Canadian mom and her daughter went to Canada's Wonderland with the dad. Tomorrow, Monday September 18, is the birthday of Rachel, so we will celebrate this tomorrow.

This Sunday was a bit a lazy Sunday. I woke up, ate breakfast and then I worked a bit for school. Then I watched some videos on YouTube. In the evening I watched TV because it was Emmy night. It was the Emmy Awards and I really like award shows, so I was glad I could finally watch an award show on TV. It was a great show. Stephen Colbert hosted the show and he was great. I was very happy with the winners. The Handmaid's Tail, which is a great show, won some big price, like lead actress Drama Series and Best Drama Series.

Tomorrow is a new week. I rested and are ready for it.

These two past days were normal school days, so not much happened. I went to class and then came back home. This Friday I met the dad of Rachel. He is a lovely man. He is here for the weekend to visit. We ate pizza and then we watched TV and I was on my laptop. We had a great evening. Tomorrow I will go to the mall to buy some things. I already bought something a school from Fanshawe: a shirt and snapback. Like that I can wear them in Belgium and say that I went there at school.

Today was a normal school day again until 1pm. But I didn't go home yet at that time because I took one hour of studio time to discover the radio studio we will use at school. You can see pictures of it here above. This is the radio studio we have class at and where we will exercise and have our tests. Because I already did radio in Ghent at urgent.fm I already have experience with these boards, but every board is a bit different, so I have to know how this one works. I was quickly working with it like I did it for several times. It is easy to use and I will definitely be able to use it and pass. Then I went back home and enjoyed my afternoon and evening at home.

Today I had class for the first time on a Monday. I had two classes but I have a 4 hour gap between them, so I had to kill time. But I was not alone. I have a friend form my class that also have this gap, so we went to Starbucks together to drink a frappuccino in the sun. Then we ate lunch and went back to school. There we still had two hours to kill, so we talked a bit and chilled at school. It was a long, but fun day. I learned new things and met my new Canadian friends.

The next day was a bit the same. I had class from 9am till 2pm and then I went home. It was great weather outside, so I went to the park to read a bit. I have to enjoy the sun now that he is still here. It was again an interesting day at school.

My first full weekend in Canada is almost over, but it was a great weekend. Saturday I went for a walk first. You can see some pictures I took during the walk here above. Then it was time to go for dinner and the Fanshawe liveshow. Me and my Canadian family went to Spageddy Eddy to eat some pasta, but I should say a lot of pasta. The bowl of spaghetti I got was huge. You can see how huge on the picture here below. You can also see a beautiful picture of me and my Canadian family. On the left you have Rachel, the daughter of my Canadian mom, and Aurimar from Venezuela. On the right you have me from Belgium and Lauren from South Korea. The first week of school is over. And tomorrow it will be one week that I'm in Canada. The time goes by fast. I had a great first week. I met new people, I discovered the campus and the city and I learned new things. And that all in just one week. This means I will learn and discover a lot more the next few months that I'm here in London.

Today was a short day. I only had oen class of two hours and then I could go back to my home. Now it's weekend so I will enjoy my free time. And that will begin tomorrow with a live show at the Budweiser Gardens. Tomorrow is the Fanshawe Live concert and before that I will go to the restaurant with my Canadian family. It will be a good day.

My second day of school is over. Tomorrow is already the last day of this week and then it is weekend. It is almost a week that I'm here in Canada.  Today I had three classes. My first one was radio production and this class was were the radio studio is. We will be able to make radio there and it is also there that we will have our tests for this class.

Because I missed orientation for my program Tuesday, I met my program coordinator today. I got more information about the school and my program. I also got the news that in November there is a trip planned to Cleveland. So I had to take an ESTA to be able to enter the US. We will go to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. This trip will be so excited.

Like I said yesterday I wanted to see how long it would take me to go from one end of the campus to the other. Today after class, I recorded a video of the trip I have to do from the M building, where I have classes, to the T building, where the buss stops. The video is 7.37 minutes long, that is almost as long as my brother does to go from my house to his school by bike in Belgium.

Today was the first real day of school for me, because today I had my first classes. Today I had three classes by two professors. They are both really friendly and want to help you if needed. I'm excited about what will come on the other days and other classes. I will meet the other professors. I hope they are like my two professors from today. They are really open and ready to help any time. I also met some people from in my class. One of them lives here in Canada and went to Belgium not a long time ago because her girlfriend lives in Belgium. What I small world we live in.

Tomorrow is my second day of school. It will be a long day but also an excited day I hope. I already explored a big part of the campus, but I think I didn't see it all yet because it is really big. I wonder how long it would take to go from one side to the other. I think something like 10 minutes. I will have to discover this later.

The first day of school is over. Today was the first time I saw Fanshawe College from the inside, not to have classes yet, that's for tomorrow. Today was orientation day. I had to register to get my Fanshawe student card like you see on the picture here above. I'm officially a Fanshawe student now. And I had to wait a lot to get it, but it was all worth it. Then I also get a Frosh Kit. Every first year student gets one. It is a bag full of stuff from the Fanshawe Student Union like food, a shirt, a bandana, sunglasses, a fidget spinner and a ticket for Fanshawe Live this Saterday. Here below is a picture of everything that was in the Frosh Kit.

All over the campus there were also many things to do because it was Buskerfest and Carnival. There was a fire eater, a hip hop violinist, a chalk artist, a henna artist and even a juggler. Here below is a video of the juggler. Tomorrow I will have my first classes. I hope it well all be fine, but I'm positive about it.

Today it was great weather outside until in the evening. But he enjoyed the good weather by going for a walk. We want to the Fanshawe Conservation Area. It is very beautiful there. You can learn more about the place on their website. You can do a hike around the Fanshawe Lake which is 20 kilometers long, but we didn't do the 20 kilometers. We walked 10 of them. It was a good hike in beautiful nature.

Tomorrow is the first day that I will go to school. Tomorrow is orientation day, so I don't have lessons yet. That's for Wednesday. Tomorrow I will meet the other students and I will discover the school. I'm excited.

It is day 2 from my journey in Canada and my first whole day here. I slept well. I have a good bed and a great room. Today was a bit a rest day because I still was a bit tired from my long day yesterday and I wanted to take it slowly. I emptied my luggage and in the afternoon I went for a walk in Downtown London to discover the city.

London is a beautiful place full of beautiful parks and nature. I walked along Richmond Street which is the big street of London. I also went to the Ivey Park where there is the river that flows there. It is very beautiful. That is the place you see on the picture here above.

I also saw the Budweiser Gardens where the ice hockey time of London plays and where there are many big events. One of my favorite places I saw was the Victoria Park. It is full of squirrels there. I never saw a squirrel from so close like I did in the park. Here below are some other pictures from my walk in London.

Dreamelyne is really happening now! While I'm typing this I am in London, Ontario at my family for this semester. I stay at the wonderful house of Vertha Coligan, dean of the Faculty of Technology at Fanshawe, the school where I will go.

This first day was a very long day. I woke up at 5:45 because I had to be at the airport in Brussels soon for my flight. I didn't really sleep a lot, but I was excited for this day. I was also a bit nervous, because I did a lot of first things. It was my first time on a plane, my first travel alone and that in a country far away from my home. But it all went well. The flight went great, because I was upgraded to business class. So I had a great time in the plane. I had great food, a great view and lovely people.

When I arrived at my new house for this semester I was happy that I finally arrived. And Vertha and her daughter (and their dog Milo and cat Luna) were really happy to see me. I felt immediately at home. I think I will have a great time here in London. You can follow my whole journey in Canada here.

Here below are some pictures from the plane. When we arrived at Toronto (where I landed), we could see Toronto from the sky. It was a very beautiful experience. And it will be even more beautiful.
